DESCRIPTION: Tapioca flour, also known as tapioca starch, is made from the starch extracted from the South American cassava plant. This flour is wonderful in helping to bind gluten free, paleo recipes and to help improve the texture of baked goods! Tapioca flour also helps add crispness to crusts and a wonderful bounce to baking goods. Use in combination with other gluten free, paleo approved flours for best results! The starch can also be used as a thickening agent for puddings and sauces! To use as a cornstarch substitute, use 2 tablespoons of Tapioca Flour for every one tablespoon of corn starch.
Bob’s Red Mill Tapioca Starch/Flour is gluten free. Tapioca starch/flour is neutral tasting and tolerates acidic ingredients, such as citrus. It also freezes well and dissolves well at lower temperatures.
